MENON is co-organising the First Bi-Regional Dialogue (Caribbean–EU) Workshop under the EUCARINET Project, hosted on 24-26 April 2013 at the CARICOM Secretariat Headquarters in Georgetown, Guyana.
The EUCARINET Project, which has as its main goal, the establishment sustainable bi-regional multi-stakeholders policy dialogue on Science and Technology (S&T) at policy, programme and institutional levels, is in its final year and it is important that the benefits of the project be sustained. The Bi-Regional dialogue will therefore focus on addressing long-term strategies to strengthen existing cooperation in Science Technology and Innovation (STI) between Europe and the Caribbean, starting with the knowledge base of the EUCARINET Project. The Meeting will consider the recommendations of the Strategy Paper on Science Technology and Innovation in the Caribbean and specifically seek to identify how best to integrate outputs of the EUCARINET Project into policy and strategic frameworks for STI in order to establish sustainability of the benefits over the long run for the development of STI in the Caribbean.
