MENON and its members are active in influencing policy developments at the national and European level, mainly in the areas of learning innovation and of international cooperation in knowledge-intensive fields. We work on foresight and observatory activities to produce research-based visions, roadmaps and recommendations for action.

In the field of learning innovation, we have produced a number of vision reports and of policy inputs, which have been discussed in the frame of high level events with policy and decision makers.

Further, we have produced a number of international roadmaps to facilitate cooperation in the fields of ICT research, between Europe and Latin America and between Europe and the Caribbean, and of innovation in higher education, focussing on Latin America, South-East Asia and the Caribbean.

Finally, we have organised numerous policy-relevant seminars and conferences, on issues such as Recognition of Prior Learning and one on Equity in Higher Education.
