Asian countries have played a vital role in all Erasmus Mundus Actions lines. By representing a significant number of students, scholars and higher education institutions being part of Erasmus Mundus projects, it was worth examining the role and significance Asian representatives play in the Erasmus Mundus programme.
In order to do so, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) / the ASEM Education Secretariat and the MENON Network conducted a Cluster project, aiming at assessing all Erasmus Mundus activities carried out so far which had/have an Asian focus. In this context, a survey was conducted, analysing general aspects of Asia-Europe co-operation within the different Erasmus Mundus Action lines, such as the added value of working together or challenges in the daily work.
