LL3D – Fostering educational use of MUVEs among researchers, trainers, practitioners and multipliers in Europe

LLL3D aimed to support European practitioners (individuals as well as communities) that work in the field of education and training using Second Life within a Lifelong learning perspective. From the perspective of the user (the major beneficiary of our actions), it was necessary not only to provide evidence of the pedagogical potential of this kind of environments, but also to explore and explain the “learning scenarios” in which MUVEs might successfully operate. In the framework of the LLL3D project, the working group of eight partners from Germany, Belgium, Italy, United Kingdom, France, Slovenia and Spain,  created a set of services and tools in order to provide guidance to all practitioners who are interested in exploring the potential of Second Life for educational purposes, and learning how to use this environment.
