Netsounds was a European network project (LLP-EACEA) established to promote the use of digital technologies and social networking tools in music education.
The purpose of Netsounds was to integrate the activities of education and industry, in order to support innovation in music education for European educational and training systems and to facilitate the exchange and sharing of products, knowledge and good practices so as to support the development of this innovative field of research and activity.
The Netsounds project explored the future of web-based music education anticipating some of its main features, considering the different ways of experiencing our time, leaning towards a pragmatics of learning and living, reproducible in teaching and endlessly testable through creativity. At its core were music and technologies, which are poles of attraction and identity for every culture of the world.
